Scienceand Technology Characters:

Authorizedby the Ministry of Education, the China Since Publishing (科学出版社)is collecting the un-encodedscience and technology characters in modern publicationsor those in ancient books but frequently cited in modernpublications. The characters are collected from the fields ofphysics,chemistry, medical science, etc. It is estimated that tens of themwill be proposed to IRG after checking with encoded and being encodedCJK characters in 2017.

PersonNames and Place Names:

TheProject “ChineseCharacters Repertoire”(中華字庫)has collected 1,361 un-encoded characters of which 1310 are personnames and 51 are place names. Their attributes are collated by theFounder Electronics.

TheProject has establishedthe relationship amongthe coded characters,according to theprinciple of philology.Forexample:

????(U+24D0E)→????(U+24D0B)→疃(U+7583);

????(U+2454C)=????(U+24CDE)=????(U+2B403)→緟(U+7DDF)【or=紳(U+7D33)】

Bythe new researchresults in recent years,we change the correct relationshipof them like this:

????(U+24D0E)→????(U+24D0B)→????(U+2454C)=紳(U+7D33)

3. Khitan Characters (契丹文字)

TheSC2#21 approved to accept 484 KhitanSmall Script characters(契丹小字) for UCS PDAM ballot. Chinese experts and interested parties suggestdiscussing encoding KhitanLargeScript characters(契丹大字)in WG2 rather than IRG although the KhitanLargeScript characters looklike CJK ideographs.

End.
